Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

UniqMob Ltd is the developer and publisher of these apps. UniqMob Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 17124037, with registered office at 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, United Kingdom.

2. Information we process

The apps do not require an account. Depending on the app, device, settings, location and consent choices, the following information may be processed:

• Videos that you deliberately select in iOS Video to Audio, and audio that you deliberately choose or share with Android Ringtone Maker.

• App interactions and usage events collected through optional Firebase Analytics, only if you enable Usage analytics through the Optional reporting prompt or in Settings. Advertising and consent SDKs may separately process interactions as described below.

• Device and app information, such as device model, operating-system version, app version, language, country or region derived from technical signals, and app or installation identifiers.

• Crash and diagnostic information collected through optional Firebase Crashlytics, only if you enable Crash diagnostics through the Optional reporting prompt or in Settings. Advertising and consent SDKs may separately process diagnostics as described below.

• Advertising information, which may include IP address, general location inferred from IP, device or app identifiers, advertising data, ad interactions, consent signals, and fraud-prevention information.

• Operational configuration information processed by Firebase Remote Config, including a Firebase installation identifier and limited app or device information used to return configuration values. Video to Audio uses Remote Config separately from optional Analytics and Crashlytics.

• If notifications are introduced in a future version and you opt in, an Apple Push Notification service (APNs) or Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token and notification delivery or interaction information. Push notifications are not currently active in Video to Audio on iOS.

We do not ask you to create an account. We do not intentionally collect your name, postal address, payment-card details or private communications through these apps.

3. Video and audio files are processed locally

Video to Audio on iOS

The app imports a video that you actively select through the iOS Photos picker or Files importer. The Photos picker is restricted to videos; the Files importer accepts movie and video types. If a selected item is stored in iCloud or another file provider, iOS or that provider may download it to the device so the app can process it. The app uses the system share sheet to export a finished clip; it does not include an inbound share extension.

Video-to-audio conversion, trimming and playback are performed on the device. UniqMob does not upload the selected video, its audio track, waveform, filename or exported audio to its own servers. For each saved clip, the app stores the audio file, local JSON metadata and a JPEG thumbnail generated from the selected video. The original item remains in Photos, Files or the chosen provider unless you delete it there. Deleting a clip in the app is designed to remove its app-managed audio, metadata and thumbnail. Deleting the app removes its local app container; exported copies remain separate. System backups or restored device data may retain or restore app data under the applicable Apple or provider settings. A copy exported to Files, iCloud Drive or another destination remains there until you delete it from that destination. Temporary working files are cleaned up on normal import, discard, cancellation, conversion failure and startup paths, but cleanup is best effort and an interrupted transfer or preview may persist until a later cleanup or iOS removes it.

When you export through the iOS share sheet or save to Files, iCloud Drive or another file provider, the destination you choose receives and processes that copy under its own privacy practices.

Ringtone Maker on Android

Ringtone Maker accesses only audio that you actively choose or share with the app. Audio editing is performed on the device. UniqMob does not upload selected audio or created clips to its own servers. Saved clips remain on the device unless you choose to share them using another app or service.

4. Platform-specific permissions and device access

iOS Video to Audio

• Photos picker: Used only to let you choose a video. The app uses Apple’s restricted system picker, so it receives the item you select rather than unrestricted access to your full library and does not request broad Photos-library permission.

• Files and file providers: Used to import an item you choose and to export a finished audio copy to a destination you select. The app uses scoped access and does not scan unrelated files.

• Notifications: Push notifications are not currently active in Video to Audio on iOS. If notifications are introduced later, the app will request permission and register for notifications only after you choose to enable them.

• App Tracking Transparency: Video to Audio does not currently request App Tracking Transparency permission and does not intentionally use Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). Google Mobile Ads may process other device or app identifiers as described below. If a future configuration involves tracking that requires Apple’s permission, the app will request that permission before enabling the tracking. Local video-to-audio conversion does not require tracking permission.

Android Ringtone Maker only

The following access is specific to Android and is not requested by the iOS Video to Audio app:

• Music and audio / media storage: Lets you select, preview, edit and save audio.

• Modify system settings: Used only when you choose to set a clip as a ringtone, notification sound or alarm.

• Contacts: Used only when you choose to assign a clip to a contact. Contact information is not uploaded to UniqMob.

You can deny or revoke platform permissions in device settings, although the related feature may then be unavailable.

5. Advertising and consent

The apps may use Google AdMob to display advertisements. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process IP address, coarse location inferred from technical signals, device or app identifiers, advertising data, ad impressions and interactions, app interactions, performance information, crash information, other diagnostic information and fraud-prevention signals. Google’s iOS privacy disclosures state that some advertising data, including a device identifier, may be linked to you and may be used for tracking. Actual processing depends on your consent choices, Apple permission where required, device settings, ad format and enabled features.

Video to Audio on iOS requests non-personalised ads and disables Google’s publisher first-party identifier. Non-personalised advertising can still involve identifiers and other information used for ad delivery, frequency control, measurement, security and fraud prevention.

Where required, the apps use Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent or present regional privacy choices. UMP may process coarse location, performance information, product interaction, and consent or privacy-choice signals for app functionality. The message identifies the ad technology providers covered by the request and links to their privacy information. A provider appearing in a consent message does not by itself mean that its SDK is installed or that it receives data from this app.

Ads may be personalised, non-personalised or limited depending on your region, consent choices, Apple permission and the ad technology available. On iOS, a choice made through UMP does not replace Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission. Apple’s permission requirements apply separately from advertising-consent choices.

Where required and available, you can revisit advertising choices through the app’s Privacy Choices entry point. The choices presented depend on your region and the applicable privacy requirements, and may include consent controls or an opt-out choice. You can also manage Apple or Google advertising controls in device settings. Withdrawing or refusing consent does not prevent local conversion, trimming, saving or playback.

6. Analytics, crash reporting and Remote Config

iOS Video to Audio

Usage analytics and Crash diagnostics are optional and OFF by default. After a successful audio save, the app may show a one-time Optional reporting prompt. Choosing Enable both enables both services. Choosing Not now or dismissing the prompt leaves both services off and the prompt is not repeatedly shown. You can also enable or disable either service independently at any time in Settings → Privacy. Advertising choices are separate.

• Firebase Analytics: If you enable Usage analytics, Firebase Analytics may process app interactions, app-instance or device identifiers, device and app information, and approximate location derived from technical signals. Analytics advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation remain disabled. The first saved clip is not submitted retroactively after you accept. Selected media, thumbnails, filenames and exported audio are not included in Analytics events. Turning Usage analytics off stops future Analytics collection from the app and requests that the SDK reset its Analytics data on the device; it does not guarantee immediate deletion of information previously sent to Google.

• Firebase Crashlytics: If you enable Crash diagnostics, Firebase Crashlytics may process crash stack traces, diagnostic logs, device state, app and operating-system information, and installation identifiers. UniqMob does not intentionally attach selected media, thumbnails, filenames, file paths or exported audio to custom diagnostic reports. Turning Crash diagnostics off stops future collection from the app and requests deletion of unsent reports stored by the SDK; reports already sent remain subject to Google’s retention and deletion processes.

• Firebase Remote Config: Video to Audio uses a separate operational Firebase configuration to obtain values controlling whether advertising formats are available and their frequency or cooldown. This can operate even when Usage analytics and Crash diagnostics are off. Remote Config may process a Firebase installation identifier and limited app, device and diagnostic information. The iOS configuration does not use Analytics audiences, user properties, custom signals, experiments, personalisation, rollouts or real-time listeners. Selected media, thumbnails, filenames and exported audio are not sent through Remote Config.

Android Ringtone Maker

The Android app may use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring for usage measurement, reliability and technical performance in accordance with the Android app’s implementation and privacy controls. These services do not receive the content of audio files selected for editing.

7. Future opt-in notifications

Push notifications are not currently active in Video to Audio on iOS. If a future version offers notifications, the app will ask for your permission before registering for them.

If you opt in, Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and, if used in that version, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) may process a device registration token, app and device information, notification delivery status and interactions with notifications. UniqMob will use the token only to provide notifications you requested. Selected videos, extracted audio, thumbnails and filenames will not be included in notification payloads.

For any future notification feature, you will be able to withdraw permission in iOS Settings and, where available, in the app. UniqMob will then stop using the token and delete or invalidate it where technically available, subject to Apple, Google and backup-retention processes.

8. Service providers and international transfers

Depending on the app and features that are actually enabled, recipients or providers may include:

• Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform and the ad technology providers identified in the applicable consent or privacy-choice message for advertising, consent, opt-out handling, measurement, security and fraud prevention. The message provides provider-specific privacy links; Google’s own practices are described in its Privacy Policy. The provider list shown in a message may change as Google updates automatically maintained partner lists; inclusion in the message is not proof of an installed mediation SDK or an actual disclosure in every session.

• Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics only if you enable the corresponding optional reporting choice in Video to Audio on iOS.

• Google Firebase Remote Config and Firebase Installations for operational app configuration, including advertising availability, frequency and cooldown. This processing is separate from optional Analytics and Crashlytics.

• Apple Photos, Files, iCloud or other file providers when you select or save media through their system interfaces.

• Apple Push Notification service and, if used in a future version, Firebase Cloud Messaging only if notifications are offered and you opt in. These services are not currently active in Video to Audio on iOS.

• Apps or services you select when sharing a file or opening an external link.

These providers may act as processors, service providers or independent controllers depending on the service and context. Processing may occur outside your country. Where required, UniqMob relies on recognised safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.

9. Legal bases

Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, the legal basis depends on the purpose:

• Service requested or contract: Local processing of a selected media file to extract, edit, save or share audio at your request.

• Consent: Personalised advertising and other advertising purposes where consent is required; optional iOS Analytics; optional iOS Crashlytics; any future tracking under Apple’s framework; and any future push notifications. Consent can be refused or withdrawn without losing local media-conversion features.

• Legitimate interests: Strictly necessary app configuration, service security, fraud prevention, limited advertising or measurement where applicable law permits and those interests are not overridden by your rights, and responding to support or legal claims. Where consent is required, UniqMob does not rely on legitimate interests instead.

• Legal obligation: Processing necessary to comply with applicable law.

Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

10. Retention and security

• Selected source media: Remains in Photos, Files or another location you control. UniqMob does not retain a server copy.

• Local app-managed files: Saved clip audio, JSON metadata and generated JPEG thumbnails remain in the app until you delete the clip or delete the app, subject to device backup and restore settings. Temporary working files are deleted on normal cleanup paths on a best-effort basis; interrupted transfers or previews may remain until a later app cleanup or iOS removal. Copies exported to Files, iCloud Drive or another destination remain there until you delete them from that destination.

• UMP consent choices: Stored on the device and processed as needed to remember or refresh your privacy choices, subject to Google’s SDK and account configuration.

• Firebase Analytics: If you enable Usage analytics, the Google Analytics property is configured for 2 months of event-data retention and 14 months of user-data retention, with reset on new user activity enabled. These settings do not affect most standard aggregated reporting. Turning the feature off requests a local Analytics reset but does not automatically erase information previously processed under Google’s retention settings.

• Firebase Crashlytics: If you enable Crash diagnostics, Google states that crash stack traces, minidump data and associated identifiers are retained for 90 days before removal begins from live and backup systems. Turning the feature off requests deletion of unsent reports but does not immediately delete reports already sent.

• Firebase Remote Config: Google states that Firebase installation identifiers used by Remote Config are retained until the Firebase customer requests deletion; after deletion is requested, removal from live and backup systems may take up to 180 days.

• AdMob: Google and advertising partners retain advertising information under their applicable policies, legal obligations and configuration. UniqMob does not set a single retention period for data controlled independently by those providers.

• Future push identifiers: Not currently collected by Video to Audio on iOS. If notifications are later introduced, tokens will be retained only while needed to provide opted-in notifications, then deleted or invalidated where technically available, subject to Apple, Google and backup-retention processes.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to be informed; request access, correction or deletion; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; request portability; and complain to a data-protection authority.

To exercise a right, email privacy@uniqmob.com. We may need reasonable information to verify and respond to the request. Because the apps do not use accounts and media processing occurs locally, UniqMob may be unable to identify or retrieve local app data remotely.

In the United Kingdom, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

12. Children, changes and contact

The apps are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child in circumstances that require parental consent. Advertising, analytics and other consent-based processing must follow the age and consent rules that apply in the user’s location. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us.

We may update this policy to reflect app changes, legal requirements or provider updates. We will update the date above and communicate significant changes through the app or store listing where appropriate.
