Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters. This policy explains how UniqMob Ltd handles information when you use Ringtone Maker: MP3 Cutter and related UniqMob services.
1. Who we are
UniqMob Ltd is the developer and publisher of Ringtone Maker: MP3 Cutter. UniqMob Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 17124037, with registered office at 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, United Kingdom.
For data-protection questions, contact us at contact@uniqmob.com.
2. Information we process
The app does not require an account. Depending on your device, settings, location and consent choices, the following information may be processed:
- App interactions and usage events, such as screens opened, features used and general engagement.
- Device and app information, such as device model, operating-system version, app version, language and approximate technical identifiers.
- Crash and diagnostic information, including stack traces, installation identifiers and technical performance information.
- Advertising information, which may include the Google Advertising ID, ad interactions and consent signals.
- Consent choices submitted through Google’s User Messaging Platform where applicable.
3. Audio files you choose
Ringtone Maker accesses only the audio file that you actively choose or share with the app. The app uses that file to display a waveform, preview audio, trim a selected section and create a saved clip.
Audio editing is performed on your device. UniqMob does not upload your selected audio files or created clips to its own servers. Saved clips remain on your device unless you choose to share them using another app or service.
When you use Android’s sharing tools, the receiving app or service processes the shared clip under its own privacy practices.
4. App permissions and device access
The app requests access only when needed to provide a feature you choose to use.
You can deny or revoke permissions through Android settings, although some related features may then be unavailable.
5. Advertising and privacy choices
The app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may process device identifiers, including the Google Advertising ID, IP address, general location information, ad interactions and device information to deliver, measure, limit and protect advertising.
Where required by law, the app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent or provide privacy choices. Depending on your choices and region, ads may be personalised or non-personalised.
You may be able to review or change advertising privacy choices through the app’s Settings screen when the option is required and available. You can also manage advertising controls in your Google and Android device settings.
6. Analytics, crashes and performance
We use Google Firebase services to understand app performance and improve reliability:
These services do not receive the content of the audio files you choose to edit.
7. Third-party service providers
We rely on service providers that may process information on our behalf or as independent controllers, including:
- Google Play services and Google Play Store.
- Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform.
- Google Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring.
- Apps or services you select when sharing a clip or opening an external link.
These providers operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Their processing may occur outside your country, subject to applicable safeguards.
8. Our legal bases
Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, our legal bases may include:
- Consent, for personalised advertising, related storage or other processing where consent is required.
- Legitimate interests, for app security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, service improvement and limited analytics where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Performance of a service you request, such as processing an audio file locally when you choose to trim or save it.
- Legal obligations, where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
9. Data retention and security
Audio files and clips stored by the app remain on your device until you delete them, uninstall the app, clear app data or remove them through device storage tools.
Information processed by Google services is retained according to Google’s applicable retention settings and policies. We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to resolve issues, protect the service and meet legal obligations.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure.
10. Your data-protection rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:
- be informed about how personal data is used;
- request access to personal data;
- request correction or deletion;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing;
- request data portability where applicable; and
- complain to a data-protection authority.
To exercise a right, email contact@uniqmob.com. We may need reasonable information to verify and respond to your request. Because the app does not use accounts and much of its data stays locally on your device, we may not be able to identify or retrieve local app data remotely.
In the United Kingdom, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
11. Children’s privacy
The app is not directed specifically at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the matter.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect app changes, legal requirements or service-provider updates. We will publish the revised version on this page and update the date shown above. Significant changes may also be communicated through the app or store listing where appropriate.
